The RAAM GSS’s unsurpassed performance, advanced optical bench, and ergonomic design incorporate many easy-to-use features allowing operators to maintain mission focus easily while switching between ammo types and trajectory data. The RAAM GSS is a combat proven 40mm grenade sight designed to offer fast and accurate first round lethality with minimal recovery for repeated accuracy between rounds. Its small, lightweight design significantly enhances day and night operations in an array of environments and terrains. 

ENHANCED OPERATOR VISIBILITY & BEAM CLARITY  

By advancing and pushing the capabilities of VCSEL laser technology, the RAAM GSS provides the operator with a true advantage over other grenadier sighting systems. Achieving this high level of beam clarity improves both situational awareness and reaction time allowing for optimal target identification and engagement.

The RAAM GSS ‘s optical bench features a reflex sight with backup iron sight, visible laser pointer for boresighting, and a near infrared pointer and illuminator for optimal target identification day or night. The vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) NIR illuminator provides a high level of beam clarity enhancing situational awareness and reaction time.

The unique coaligned optical bench allows users to easily set one windage and one elevation adjustment for the entire suite of electro-optics, reducing time and complexity spent zeroing.

The RAAM GSS offers end users 4 reticle options and on-the-fly power adjustments for quick brightness and laser intensity changes. When in the Red Dot “RD”, day optic mode, these two buttons allow the user to easily increase/decrease reticle brightness. The RAAM GSS has an onboard light-sensing system that provides operators the option of automatically setting reticle brightness on the fly. 

Given the M320 GL ammunition has a much lower muzzle velocity than traditional pistol/rifle ammunition, the accuracy of the round is more susceptible to Cant. The RAAM GSS is equipped with a Cant indicator integrated into both the day and night sighting systems providing the operator valuable time savings by signaling the need for aiming adjustments.
