The Wilcox Clear Eye Cup Assembly features a filter that reduces light back splash when using optics with white phosphor imaging tubes. The recent introduction and proliferation of white phosphor image intensifier tubes, with imagery in black and white, has become the new standard for Night Vision Goggles (NVGs). The white phosphor image tube utilizes our human visual system efficiency in processing black and white images. Users report better object recognition, greater contrast, brighter imagery, and less eye strain with prolonged use of white phosphor image tube systems.

A uniquely padded rubber eye cup protects the user’s eye socket from impact injury, while reducing stray light pollution from the Night Vision Goggle (NVG) while in use. At the core of the product, Wilcox has developed a specialized amber lens across the output spectrum of green I2 tubes to reduce stray light, while minimizing contrast loss. The amber lens filters out excess light to minimize the eye splash from the green phosphor goggle, reducing enemy detection in low light combat conditions.
